Pittsburgh Steelers RB Michael Pittman Jr. was signed to "enhance the Steelers' identity as a physical, run-first offense," according to Brooke Pryor of ESPN.
Huddle Up: Although Pittman's blocking won't earn him any fantasy points, it should ensure his status as the team's No. 2 receiver. Depending on the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh, Pittman could be a WR3 in 2026, especially in PPR formats.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. and a 2026 seventh-round pick were officially traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2026 sixth-round pick on Friday, March 13.
Huddle Up: Pittman will be in an offense where the quarterback is still up in the air, and he will be fighting for targets alongside D.K. Metcalf. For now, he remains up in the air but should at least have a floor as a WR3 or flex spot in your lineup.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. was reportedly traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, March 9, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Pelissero later reported that the deal is a late-round pick swap between the Colts and Steelers with Pittman going to Pittsburgh. Pittman also has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract worth $59 million with the Steelers.
Huddle Up: It is almost stunning that the best the Colts could do in a trade involving a 28-year-old receiver with four 80-catch seasons on his resume is a late-round pick swap. It is equally hard to believe that the Colts likely made a rushed trade so that they could make Alec Pierce the ninth-highest paid receiver in the league (in terms of annual average value). Pittman's departure paves the way - at least until the draft - for Tyler Warren and Josh Downs to see their target shares increase. Meanwhile, Pierce's contract almost locks him as a player that Indy will likely ask to assume more of the short and intermediate routes that Pittman handled throughout his time with the Colts.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. is set to be acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers and is scheduled to receive a three-year contract extension worth $59 million once the trade is official, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Huddle Up: Pittman will be starting opposite DK Metcalf next season and should see a handful of targets each game. He can be a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. has reportedly been traded from the Colts to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero on Monday, March 9. In a follow-up post, Pelissero reports the deal is a late-round pick swap between the Colts and Steelers with Pittman going to Pittsburgh.
Huddle Up: Pittman's 2025 was solid by all accounts, finishing as the WR18 in fantasy football last season with 80 receptions, 784 yards and a career-high seven touchdowns. Heading to Pittsburgh, Pittman will likely see a dip in passing volume in his new location. With DK Metcalf fully entrenched as the top receiver for the Steelers, a WR2 on the Steelers hasn't been too fruitful for fantasy purposes. Going into 2026, Pittman is more of a WR4 with some upside because of his skills and production through the years.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. (calf) left the Week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he was able to return and finish up the game. He ended with two receptions for just 16 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Pittman really went downhill working with Philip Rivers, posting just nine receptions for 74 yards on 13 targets in the final three games. He really struggled in the fantasy playoffs and championship games in most leagues. He'll look to finish up the regular season strong in Week 18 against the Houston Texans.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. (calf) suffered a calf injury during the Week 17 game and is considered questionable to return.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Pittman will be able to return. He is the top receiver for the Colts when healthy and can be at least a flex option in leagues.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. caught four of his five targeted passes for 32 yards in a Week 16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: In two weeks with Philip Rivers at the helm, Pittman has caught seven passes for 58 yards. Outside of a 9-79-0 effort against Jacksonville, Pittman has finished with less than 35 yards in each of the last six games. Depending on who else you have on your roster, you should give strong consideration to benching Pittman this week given his lack of production since the team traveled to Berlin back in Week 10. If you want to roll the dice, you could use Pittman as a flex.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. posted three receptions for 26 yards on five targets in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Pittman was humming along early in the season with Daniel Jones, but he has struggled in the past five games, going for 27 or fewer receiving yards in four of the outings. He remains worth a look as a WR4 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues, with lesser appeal in standard play. He just cannot be trusted lately.

Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. caught nine of 12 targets for 79 yards in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: Since grabbing 24 balls for 263 yards and two touchdowns from Week 7-9, Pittman had eight catches for 59 yards with one touchdown in his previous three games. With Jones done for the season, Pittman's strong WR3 or flex option in most formats is in question, but he hooked up often with Riley Leonard in this one.
